Don is based in Canada and has a solid background in management, marketing and operations in the luxury European automobile sector. He has served as chairperson for management associations and councils at regional and national levels. These life lessons have provided valuable insight and the importance of maintaining a level of professionalism.
Don’s vacation rental industry experience began in the late 90’s. Starting with four purpose built vacation properties of his own, he was soon marketing eighty plus resort properties for other Owners. As an early adopter of the internet for business, his properties were online only for bookings and payments by 2000.
With extensive and hand’s on practical PMS experience, Don has firsthand knowledge that no one system or methodology works for everyone’s needs. His managed properties have ranged from small budget-priced condo’s, to large luxury chalets with very discerning Owners & Guest clients. With experience in ski resorts and the challenges faced in a two season environment and extreme challenges, Don is well versed in how to handle these issues.
Always a firm believer in direct bookings, Don recognizes the reality, scope, and acceptance in today’s marketplace of the large OTA’s. He can provide sound advice in using OTA listings to your advantage.
